Marguerite Meriwether VanDenburgh passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016, at the age of 16. Marguerite is survived by her parents Archer Graham VanDenburgh II and Amy Christman VanDenburgh; sister Louise Bossier VanDenburgh; paternal grandmother Daisy VanDenburgh; maternal grandmother Louise Christman St. Martin; aunts Laura Landry, Louise Hebbeler, Katie Swanstrom, Elizabeth Rafferty; uncles James Christman, Robert Christman, Fred VanDenburgh and William VanDenburgh; cousins Amy, Claire, Anna, Smitty, Austin, Sarah, James, Robert, Laura, Daniel, Madeline, Ellie, Lucy, Palmer, Raine, Beau, Archer, Daisy and GiGi. Marguerite is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Fred VanDenburgh and maternal Robert Christman. Marguerite graduated from Trinity Episcopal School and attended Metairie Park Country Day School. She was a member Country Day Tennis Team, National Honor Society, and Trinity Episcopal Church. Marguerite was a kind, generous, gentle truthful, compassionate brave young woman. She had a smile that would light up a room and a dry sense of humor. Marguerite willingly gave her time to those in need and loved others without ever expecting anything in return. She was a blessing to all and will always be remembered that way. Relatives, friends, members of Trinity Episcopal Church and Metairie Park Country Day School are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Ave., New Orleans, LA, 70130 at 3:00pm on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Visitation will begin at the church at 1:00pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Church Special Fund or Arc of Acadiana, PO Box 9610 New Iberia, LA, 70562.
