Maria Toruno Obituary

TORUNO Maria Estela Cullia Toruno passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012. Age 86 years. Daughter of the late Juan and Matilde Toruno. Wife of the late Samuel R. Cullia. Mother of Rose Cullia (Edwin Estrada). Stepmother of Carolyn Penney. Grandmother of Javier Toruno and Ashley Estrada. Great grandmother of Madison Romero. She is also survived by two nieces, Sylvia Toruno and Maria Isabel Toruno. She was a loyal employee of Wembley Inc. for 26 years as a seamstress. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Blessed Francis X. Seelos Church, 3037 Dauphine St. in New Orleans, on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:00AM. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
