Martha Jean Baptiste Smith

Martha Smith, age 71, embraced life in Heaven on Thursday, February 4, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fannie Mae Staves Baptiste and Preston J Baptiste; and stepson, Frank Smith Jr. Martha leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Frank Smith Sr.; 2 stepchildren, Trenell and Kenneth Smith; 2 granddaughters, Ze'Niah Bailey and Semaj Smith; 3 siblings, Preston Baptist Jr (Carrie), Roberta Jiles (the late Robert), Lloyd Baptist (Carmen); 3 sisters-in-law, JoAnn Aubry, Katie Ann Walter (Bryan), Gilda Hargrove (Leon); 3 brothers-in-law, Lloyd Smith, Raymond McBerry, and Kevin Fernandez (Zina); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 13, 2021, 11:00AM, at Christian Unity Baptist Church, 1700 Conti St., NOLA with Dr. Kevin Stephens officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the hour of service. Interment Restlawn Memorial Park. Due to covid-19 Restrictions, all guests must wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
