Mary Johnson

Mary Slade Johnson, age 96, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017. She was born in Assumption Parish, LA to the late Augustus Slade and the late Emily Charles. Stepdaughter of the late Arthur Brown. Wife of Walter Bias Sr. by first marriage and to this union two children were born: Nellie Francis and the late Walter Bias Jr. (Rose). Wife of John A. Johnson by second marriage and to this union, nine children were born: Gerald Johnson (Bernida), Vivian McFarland, Elaine Johnson, Mary Mitchell, John Johnson, Curtis Johnson (Trellis), DeLloyd Johnson and the late Raymond Johnson and Emily Johnson. Survived by 28 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren and other relatives. Relatives, friends and members of St. Luke Baptist Church, Zion Travelers First Baptist Church, Christian Unity Baptist Church, Plymouth Rock Baptist Church, St. John Baptist Church of Napoleonville, LA, are invited to attend her Homegoing Service at Zion Travelers First Baptist Church, 406 Adams Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, June 10, 2017 for 9:00 A.M.
