Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia, MO with Rev. Charles Cook officiating.
Mary was born in Columbia, MO on February 15, 1927 the daughter of Carl and Lena (Burks) House who preceded her in death. She was married on April 8, 1946 in Columbia, MO to Mervin Wells Sr who preceded her in death on January 28, 2003. Mary owned and operated her in-home daycare and was an active member of the Truth Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Boonville, MO.
Survivors include: her five children, Mervin Wells Jr (Pat) of Clark, MO, Robert Wells (Linda) of Columbia, MO, Melvin Wells (Jeanette) of Fulton, MO, Kathy Alley (Gary) of Sedalia, MO and Ken Wells of Sedalia, MO; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and two brothers, Carl House Jr (Marla) of Lebanon, MO and Grank House (Dee) of Poplar Bluff, MO. She was also preceded in death by one son, Leslie Wells; one grandson, Craig Wells, on great grandson, Michael Martin; two brothers and four sisters.
