1940 - 2022

Mary Louise "Weezie" Wiley peacefully entered into eternal rest on December 28, 2022 at the age of 82. She was born May 4, 1940 in Algiers to the late George and Alvera Hofmann. Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Wiley "Bullet Bob." Mother of Christine Gispert (Steve) and Michael Wiley (Donna). Grandmother of Tiffany Gispert Carter (Christopher) and Sean Gispert (Brian Arendt). Great grandmother of Jaxon Carter and Greyson Carter. Sister of Jocelyn LePere (Mickey) and the late Shirley Hofmann. Ms. Wiley was a resident of Gretna, La where she worked for 30 years in food service at Livadais School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family, as they were her most precious jewels. To know Mary was to love Mary, she had a way of making everyone feel like family that she came in contact with. The family would like to thank the Heart of Hospice team and Dr. Christopher Joplin for their care and compassion of Mary during this last month. A special thank you to her children and their spouses Christine and Steve Gispert, Michael and Donna Wiley for devoting their days and nights taking care of their Mom this last month. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Monday, January 2, 2023 at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until 11 AM.
