Mary Zanchettin Obituary

Mary Lorenzet Zanchettin, 95, of Pen Argyl, died Monday, August 16, 2004, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. Born: August 15, 1909, in Pen Argyl, a daughter of the late Pietro and Lucia DeNardi Lorenzet. Personal: Her husband, Antonio Zanchettin died November 15, 1951. Before retiring in 1974, she was employed as a Sewing Machine Operator for the former Gaye Sporteswear, Wind Gap, prior to that she worked for the former Bangor Clothing and Cali Sportwear, Pen Argyl. Memberships: She was a member of St. Rochs Catholic Church, West Bangor, and a former member of the ILGWU. Survivors: three sons, Joseph A. Zanchettin, Peter Zanchettin and Norman Zanchettin and his wife, Betty all of Pen Argyl; a daughter, Lenora Emrick and her husband, Peter of Pen Argyl; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lena Celot of Easton; and two brothers, Otavio Lorenzet and Leo Lorenzet both of Baltimore, MD. Two brothers, James and Angelo and five sisters, Alda Masut, DeLeila Curcio, Gallia Arconti, Sophie Barry and Norma Liero all died earlier. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, in St. Rochs Catholic Church, Verona Ave., West Bangor. There will be a viewing from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, in the Guerro & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 126 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Pen Argyl. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Pen Argyl. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be offered to the church, 1141 Verona Drive, Pen Argyl, PA 18072.
