Dear John and Trina,
Michele and I are deeply saddened by your loss of Matt. We will remember the many great times that he and Justin played as teammates as well as on opposite sides. They were great times, and that's the way I'll always remember Matt. He was always kind and friendly to Michele and me, and Justin always valued him as a teammate and friend. May he rest in peace.

John, Trina and family: My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this most sad and difficult time. I loved Matt. He was a great kid. I will always remember the great memories I have of coaching him together with John and Mac Hadden for Matt's last 2 AAU years. He was simply a great coachable kid who was both respected and loved by the coaches and his teammate. He was very happy with an infectious smile and demeanor. I will always remember these qualities as well as Matt 's leadership, heart, courage, and competitiveness. He was one of my all time favorite kids who I coached. He will be missed by all.
