Meisha Fisher Obituary

Meisha Angelle Fisher descended from this life to be with the Lord on October 25, 2021 at the tender age of 44. Mekka as she was lovingly known was born on January 16, 1977 to Jesse Gould and the late Joycelyn Marie Houston in New Orleans, LA. Meisha lived a full life that was full of love and laughter. She loved the Lord and tried to live according to his ways. Meisha spent her life helping others and mentoring the young. Her early career was spent in sales and she later moved to education; where she was truly able to make the change in the lives of the young. She was adventurous and had an avid love of motorcycle riding. She enjoyed dancing and singing. Her heart could encompass the world. She was a free spirit and always was true to herself and others. She was an active member of AGAPE Christian Worship Center. Meisha leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Thalneisha Weston. Her father Jesse Gould, 4 sisters and 1 brother: Tyronda Fisher, Natasha Lewis (Howard), Elisha Fisher (William) and Shawn Fisher. 11 in-laws: Lorraine Pradier, Carol Shello, Brenda Walker (Sammie), Peter Clyde (Carolyn), Rita Arlene Jolivet (Harold Jr.), Sharon Drexler (Steven), Paul Dwight, Loretta Brimmer, Claudette Jackson (Charlie), Jude Kern (Brenda), and Edward Malcolm. 1 grandson: Royhal Prince Cage. 2 aunts: Lovace Johnson (Eugene) and Alice Wells. 3 uncles: Derick Houston (Sandra), Nathan Gould (Katie), and Darrell Gaines (Debbie). She is preceded in death by her husband Chester James Boutte, mother Jocyelyn Houston; grandparents Bland and Thelma Houston, Dennis and Annie Bell Gould. Relatives, Friends, Employees of International High School of New Orleans, Ascension Parish School Board, Renal Associates of Baton Rouge, H&E Equipment Service, and members of AGAPE Worship Center, Faith of Hope MBC, Oakland Baptist Church are welcome to attend A Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:30 am at Living Waters Church of God In Christ, 715 Filmore Street, Kenner, LA., 70062. Visitation at 10:00 am until the hour of service. Burial is private. Arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Directors, 4101 St Claude Ave., New Orleans, LA., 70117.Due to Covid-19, everyone is required to wear a mask.
