Dear Ms. Memory:
I am so sorry I will be unable to attend the services to celebrate your life on this Earth. Your obituary speaks of how you loved to cook and entertain. This makes up some of my fondest memories on Mayo Road.
I'll never forget you and Dr. Bobby letting us come over to swim in the lake.
I remember the soft shells you would cook, that Dr. Bobby had just caught that day. Then passing them over (then eventually through) the fence. A lot of stories could be told because of the hole in the fence.
Because of your cooking, I love soft shell crabs to this day. Yet, also, to this day, no soft shells compare.
I remember being in your kitchen while you fried shrimp, while you and my mom had drinks. (I hope ya'll are having a few right now!)
Speaking of your kitchen, I don't think any pantry had better snacks.
When we were really little, we had Taco/Pizza Fridays! I remember that, too.
I remember walking down the aisle on my wedding day, seeing you and Dr. Bobby. While my my mom walked beside me, I leaned over to kiss you before I got
to the alter. It meant so much to see you there.
I remember the last few times we had a chance to visit on Arbor, I had my baby, Lucas with me. I'm so happy he had the chance to meet you.
I'll never forget some of our last phone conversations after my mom passed. You were always so cautious as to when to call, as you were afraid you would wake up the baby. Always so thoughtful.
I had some sad moments in those years, and you were very understanding and knew exactly what to say.
I, among so many others, will miss you here. I wish there were more times to share. I wish I were there to celebrate your life. Yet, Heaven gained a wonderful angel.

My sweet sweet Mom... it already seems like a lifetime since you left us. I will carry you in my heart always, and will do everything I can to be 1/2 the mother to my children that you were to us. Your smile will live on forever... you are one in a million and I was beyond blessed to have the privilege to call you mom. Love you more... forever and always
