Merle Robichaux Scairono

Merle Robichaux Scairono passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Eugene Scairono for over 60 years. Mother of Mark Scairono (Debbie), Barry Scairono (Nancy), Joni Monroe (the late Kenneth) and Lori Banks (Don). Daughter of the late Mildred and Alex Robichaux. Sister of the late Mildred Clark and Roy Robichaux. Grandmother of Kris Scairono, Amie Ferguson, Mark Scairono, Jr., Nicole Merrill, Erica Pollard, Richard Bryant, Lindsay Monroe and Whitney Pizarras. Also survived by 17 great-grandchildren. She graduated from Behrman High School in 1954 and was a member of the Sugarettes. She was a member of the Tuesday Night Card Club. She was a native of Algiers, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 1:30 pm. Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 11 am until 1:30 pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. The family wishes to thank Visiting Angels for their loving care.
