Michael Joseph Danner, 67, a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA, passed away on October 30, 2023. He was born on September 25, 1956, in New Orleans, LA, to the late Ruth Olga Carey Danner and Edward Joseph Danner. Mike, also known as Michael Joseph Danner, was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his sister Ellen Danner Peralta and brother-in-law Richard Peralta. Mike was a loving uncle to his niece and godchild Erica Peralta Hester (Mike) and grandnieces Eleanor and June, and also grandnephew James Edward Hester. He was also a cherished uncle to his niece Christina Peralta Heath (Christopher) and grandniece Chandler Ruth and grandnephew Charlie Joseph Heath. Mike had a special bond with his Aunt Dottie Danner Keller and cousin Perry Joseph Keller. He is also survived by his Aunt Tanya and Uncle Jerry Carey, along with his cousins TamEra Carey-Wicburg and Trina Carey Hodgson. Mike was a proud graduate of East Jefferson High School, Class of 1975, and a member of the Warriors Marching Band. He continued his education at Tulane University, where he earned a B.S. degree in Computer Science Engineering. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Mike's memory to a charity of your choice. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 11:00 am, at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124.
