Michael J. Favre Sr.

Michael J. Favre Sr. passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the age of 79. He leaves behind his West Jefferson High School sweetheart and wife of 60 years, Barbara DiPascal Favre. Loving father of daughter, Tiron Esteve (Mark) and sons, Michael Favre Jr. (Gina) and Roy Favre (Michele); grandchildren, Matthew, and Crystal and two great-grandchildren. Son of the late William and Lydia Falgout Favre. Brother of the late Norward (Bill) and Errol Favre and sister, Joy Eschman. Son-in-law of the late Roy DiPascal and Bertha DiPascal Lottinger. Step son-in-law of the late Reubin Lottinger. He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was born in New Orleans. The family moved to Westwego when he was 3 years old. He retired from Avondale Shipyards after 40 years. He was co-founder of a Catholic young men's club, the 'Crowns' in 1957. After all these years, he loved going to their luncheons every month at area restaurants. He rarely missed the early morning get-together with his fishing buddy Petie and friends at Schnell's Restaurant. Most of all, he loved the seafood boils and BBQs with his children and friends at his camp in Lafitte. He will be missed by family and friends. Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 8:30am to 11am. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel.
