Michael "Mike" Procido

Michael (Mike) Procido, born in Philadelphia, PA, on December 14, 1945, passed away early Sunday morning March 1, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Beatrice Procido. He is survived by his two daughters, Kathryn (Katie) Procido and Megan Procido Hamblin and her husband Vincent, brother Joseph Procido and his wife Anita and sister Nancy Leone and her husband Joseph. After initially pursuing a career as a professional classical guitarist, Mike moved to New Orleans in 1977, where he entered the wine and food scene. He worked passionately as a wine sales representative for over 30 years for Wines Unlimited and was respected as an expert by the wine and food community. Mike was well known by his family and friends for his creative culinary creations at home, where everyone was always welcome at the table. He will be remembered for his passion, generosity, and infectious bellowing laugh. We invite all friends and family to a memorial service Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Blessed Francis Seelos Catholic Church, 3037 Dauphine St,, New Orleans LA 70117, at 11:00 AM followed by prayer service. A celebration of his life is to follow at Bacchanal, 600 Poland Ave., New Orleans, LA 70117. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society in memory of Mike.
