Your Cousin Sue in California
Sue Seldon Ward
October 16, 2010
In light of the home going of our loved one, cousins I wanted to share with you something that was especially comforting regarding the home going of another family member. In her eulogy the pastor honored our grief and then encouraged everyone to rejoice with her that now she was free of suffering and reunited in Heaven with those that have passed before us. He reminded us that God's ways are mysterious and then added something unique and which gave the comfort I mentioned above. He spoke of our birth into this world as the beginning of our journey to Heaven and closeness to God, and how we must leave the warmth and comfort of the womb to join our family and experience the world He has created for us in this transition. The pastor then said our passing from this realm is too another form of birth, the birth into Heaven. We leave a place of familiarity and comfort, experience relatively brief pain and difficulty before emerging in a place that is at first incomprehensible but beautiful and amazing and we are with family and closer to God.
Love you all with much blessings, Your cousin Sue and family

"For My Son"
Even though it hasn't been long since the day you've been gone, people tell me,"time will heal..."But not having you here seems so unreal.I feel like i am living in a dream. Then reality hits...and i want to scream. You are my baby, my first born, my son.And with your short life, i know i wasn't done with teaching and loving and caring, that's true, and all of life treasures i wanted for you. I keep thinking what would i do, if i had another moment to say i love you.How would i fill that moment i long of, except with words conveying my love.I can't be thankful for what i have not. But do try and be thankful for all that i got.The time with you so short and sweet, you always was "mom special treat" Lord! my strength is ebbing from yesterday. Please fill my cup Lord......for my sake,Teach me to take one day at a time.

"To My Nephew"
Goodbye Michael, I had to say, i will remember the good times and try not to be sad. But saying goodbye still hurts so bad.I miss you more then i can express,my love for you will never grow less. I keep trying to imagine how i will go on. I realize tomorrow is another dawn.I know that you are in Heaven above looking down on us all with your love, only to whisper in our ear, remember that i will never stop loving you dear.I will always remember the good times we had.I will remember you each and every day. and if i need to talk to you , i will just sit down and pray, one day we'll be together again,to talk about all the places we have been. Until that time i will always treasure you. Having you for a nephew was such a great pleasure.
Love Always Your Brother Bryan

A Brother's Promise
Michael, if tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane i would walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good bye. you were gone before i knew it and only God knows why.My heart still aches in sadness and secret tears still flow, what it meant to lose you no one will ever know. But know i know you want me to mourn for you no more, to remember all the happy times life still has much in store. Since you'll never be forgotten, i pledge to you today a hollowed place within my heart is where you'll always stay.

Marie and Pearl,
Don't think of Micheal as gone away, his journey just begun. Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears,in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days. Think of how he must be wishing that we could only know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched... for nothing loved is ever lost, and Michael was loved so much.

To the Rose Family: I we were so sorry about Michael, we have known him as a wonderful and loving young man who was loved by so many. I know it's hard to understand why our love ones are taken from us, but when the Lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves a special gift of memories in our heart. Always remember that memories are the legacy of love which will follow you no matter how far or near you are. Michael will always be your heart. The Lord has called home another one of his Angels. To the Rose Family just hold on to your wonderful memories of Michael and let them guide you during this time of your loss. May God our Lord and Savior continue to Bless you and your family. But, rejoice in knowing that your "beloved" Mike is happy and free with our Master and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Everytime I saw Mike he was always jovial and had a smile for you. Dear Mr & Mrs Rose, I'm so very sorry to hear of Michael's passing. I'm Mr Gaignard, Michael's fifth grade teacher at McDohogh #42 school. Michael was a terrific kid. You and your husband did a fine job of raising him. He was always polite, cheerful, and hard working. I remember him well. We even lived on the same street, O'Reilly, for a while. God bless you all. I'll remember Michael in my daily prayers.
