Mike was one of the most remarkable people I've ever met. As Dean of the college where Mike was Radio-TV chair, I consider my time working with him as one of the most exciting and productive of my career. Mike was brilliant and highly creative. He inspired students like few others. His law class was the most popular in the department by far. Students loved him. His broadcast management book made a national impact. Mike made a flawless transition to academic life while still keeping all of his strengths as a visionary businessman and broadcast professional. Mike couldn't resist a good deal or a good idea, which introduced a plethora of exciting new projects and opportunities to the college. There are hundreds of students and colleagues who remember Mike as one of the great ones. We're grateful that he wandered into the university and made us so much better.

We are very sad to hear of Mike's passing, almost 50 years after he was the Best Man at our wedding. He was a wonderful friend.

I extend my sincere condolences to the family of my old classmate from Georgetown Law School, Mike Starr. He apparently had a full life with and beyond his legal career.

Have not seen my former boss, and his family, in many, many years. He was a brilliant man. My condolences to the entire family.
