Michele Fonte Ural

1963 - 2021

Michele Fonte Ural passed away surrounded by her loved ones on November 28, 2021 at the age of 58. She was the child of Dominic Anthony Fonte (Deceased) & Rosemary Legendre Fonte. Michele was the wife of William "Mickey" Michael Ural. She was a loving mother to William "Michael" (Kelly), Patrick (Gabby), and Caroline Ural, as well as a caring "Mimi" to Emmaline, William, and Marlowe Ural. She was the baby sister of Kenneth (Colleen), Glenn, Michael (Loretta), and Marie Poche Fonte in addition to the aunt of several nieces and nephews. Michele was born on March 8, 1963 in Metairie, Louisiana. Growing up, Michele was mature beyond her years, while retaining the ability to laugh at the silliness of her times. She was a fearless gymnast, a diligent student, and the kind of friend who would welcome anybody into her family. After graduating from Nicholls State University, Michele entered the Pharmaceutical industry and met her husband of 32 years, Mickey. The pair spent the entirety of their marriage as two halves of a whole. Whether it was a Neil Diamond concert or an evening drinking coffee on the patio, Michele and Mickey enjoyed every waking moment together. As a mother, her love for her children is best described with a quote from her favorite lullaby "You will always have a friend, no matter where you are". In jest, she would state that her children drove her crazy. When they needed her most, she was a perpetual beacon of support and comfort. Devout in her faith, Michele exemplified the Catholic ideal of the Call to Community. She volunteered her time and energy to the children of St. Philip Neri Parish as a Catechism teacher, a position she maintained until her untimely passing. Michele was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. Her smile would light the room and her quick wit could remove any tension. Michele will be sadly missed, but her memory will live on through those who knew her. A special thanks to Jason, Allison, Peggy, Adam, Leslie, Connie Jo, and Father Harry for the care and support they have shown throughout this time. On Monday, December 6, Visitation and a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. respectively at St Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Metairie, LA. Interment will begin thereafter on the same date at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
