Miguel Cardona Obituary
Miguel A. Cardona aka “Mike”, 77 resident of Hartford, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 13, 2017. Born in Aguada, PR on September 4, 1939. Miguel was the son of the late Felix Cardona & Anastacia Bonet. He is survived by his wife Evelyn Cardona, his daughter Yolanda Cardona (daughter of Nereida Cardona) and two grandsons Frank Bonici II & Markis Voisine, two brothers Samuel and Manuel Cardona, four sisters Cecilia Gonzalez, Anastacia, Doris & Lucy Cardona. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughter Anita Cardona (daughter of Nereida Cardona), son Stephen Cardona (son of the late Stephanie Cardona), brother Israel Cardona and sister Nereida Hernandez.
Mike retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. He had a passion for cooking for family and friends. He was a very outgoing person who loved to laugh, loved the casino and was a well-known domino player. He truly will be missed by many.
His family will receive relatives and friends at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Friday, Jan. 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. A mass of Catholic faith will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center St., Meriden.
