Milbon Gremillion Obituary

Milbon "Bean" Gremillion entered into Heaven on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the age of 88. Devoted husband of the late Dell Marie "Sis" Gremillion for 63 years. Loving father of Lorraine Belsom, Steve Gremillion and the late Vic Gremillion. Father-in-law of Donald Belsom and Pam B. Gremillion. Proud grandfather of Julie Richardson (Paul), Scott Belsom, Ashley Palmer (Todd), Michael Gremillion (Katie), Lori Gremillion and the late Travis Gremillion. Great grandfather of Mia Belsom, Gracie Guidroz, Addison Spain, Travis LaRoche, Brinley Palmer, Mason Richardson and Sawyer Gremillion. Son of the late Ralph and Lillian Gremillion. Bean is also survived by numerous loving brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Bean worked as a barber for many years and retired in the maintenance department of the St. Bernard School System. He was a native of Plaucheville, LA and a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. Bean's family would like to thank the staffs of Canon Hospice and Fidelis Northshore Residential Home for their devoted care. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The online guestbook is available at www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.

Steve & Loraine, Sorry to hear about Bean. He and Sis and all those folks from that era were amazing. The things they accomplished, the morality of that generation is being lost. Anyway those two were special. When I visited them they always made you feel like you were the only person in the world. I loved them very much. Condolences !!

I will always remember Uncle Bean by his sweet smile, laughs, Mac, hilarious jokes, love, caring, and his sweet spirit. He was very proud of his family, as he would always show me pictures and brag of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he kept in his wallet. What a beautiful legacy he has left behind! Uncle Bean,

Every time I would see him, Uncle Bean would never forget to remind me that my birth was the reason my Mom couldn't go to his and his beloved Sis' wedding. I will miss him and his laughter. My condolences to his wonderful family.

I will miss uncle Bean. He was always in good spirits. Love to listen to his jokes. Love the way he called everyone Mack. I became part of the family when I married Gwen Gremillion his niece over 30 year ago. I think he finally started calling me by my name about 5 years ago. Up until then it was Mack. Uncle Bean you will be missed but not forgotten. Our hears and prayers go out to all the family. Randy
