Mildred Bryant Obituary

Mildred Alphonse Bryant, age 78, of New Orleans, LA, passed away peacefully in Grand Prairie, Texas on Friday, February 11, 2022, while being held by her beloved son on her way back home to New Orleans, LA. Mildred was preceded in death by 2 children, Wanda, and Donald Bryant: parents, Emanuel and Lily Alphonse, and 6 siblings, Doris Bryant, Rev. Gilbert Sr, and Rev. August Bennett Jr, Delores, Edward, and Alvin Alphonse. She leaves to cherish her memories 4 children, Michael Alphonse Sr, David Bryant Jr, Kim Smith York, and Nicole Bryant; 2 sisters, Lillie Mae and Ursular Alphonse; 10 grandchildren, Edward (Cash) and Nakia Campbell, Nathaniel Blanton, Latisha Crumedy, Ciara and Michael Alphonse, Jr., Donika Smith, Donald Perkins, Javonda and Joni Bryant, and Joshua York and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was a member of New Testament Baptist Church and later became a member of Beacon Light Baptist Church until she could no longer attend. She worked at the Southern Yacht Club until retirement. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 26, 2022, 10:00am at Professional Funeral Services, 1449 N. Claiborne Ave., NOLA.
