I played for "Mook" in three sports from "53 thru '56. Often was the time when I thought I'd die on the practice field in football of on the court in basketball. (Baseball wasn't so bad). I remember asking one of the players who attended my church why he had to go to practice one Sunday (I was at Wright JHS at the time), and he said 'there are no days off with Clavier'---I later found out that in basketball anyway, he was right. Coach was a blessing to me; without his guidance and tough love I would never had made it through Boot Camp. He was a life long mentor and friend. Although he's gone in body, his spirit will live on for many of us.

A happy time..........
