Mitchell Lincoln Guidry Sr.

Mitchell Lincoln Guidry Sr. was called to his heavenly father on Friday, November 3, 2017, at the age of 87. Mitchell Sr. was born to the union of Benedict Charles Guidry and Rita Manual Guidry. He was the loving husband of the late Marie Francis Guidry for 67 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Lucille Frazier, Rosemary Payne, Mildred Rochon, and Shirley Smith; brothers: Joseph, Alton, Gordon, and Benoit Guidry; son: Calvin Guidry; and grandchildren: Reginald Lagarde Jr. and Harold Irvin III. He was survived by 10 children: Sylvia Sykes (Melvin), Brenda Donatto (Keith), Linda Lagarde (Reginald), Patricia Alford (Robert), Mitchell Guidry Jr. (Deborah Ann), Debra Higgins (Carlos), Wayne Guidry Sr. (Bella Joyce), Albert Williams III, Zina Guidry, and Nicole Williams; 108 grand and great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priests and parishioners of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 10, 2017, for 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 St. Philip St. Church visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. only, Reflections from 10:30 a.m. until hour of Mass.
