CHARLES Morris Charles Sr. passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2007. He was born on May 10, 1926, in Vacherie, LA to the late Edward Charles, Sr. and Eva Davis Charles. He was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board for many years. He was a retired Longshoreman with Local #3000. Morris was a God-fearing man. He was a good husband and father. Children loved him because he always had good advice. He is the husband of Linda Charles; father of Dwayne, Morris, Jr., Adrian, Jeffery "Mike" Marvin, Deon, Brandon, Chaz, Berlinda, Morris Deana, Suzanne, and Morris Lynn. He is preceded in death by 2 sons, Eddie and Anthony Charles; 1 sister, Gustavia Nelson; 3 brothers, Edward, Jr., Iveary and Romalis Charles. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Alvin and Matthews and 4 sisters, Gloria, Genevia, Deloria and Julia. He is also survived by a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers, and members of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church are invited to attend the funeral services at St. Paul Missionary Baptist church, 1509 Monroe St., Gretna, LA on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 10am.
