Murriel Falgout

1927 - 2022

Murriel Falgout was accepted into the waiting arms of the Lord on November 1, 2022 at the age of 95. She was born on February 19, 1927 in Plaucheville, LA and became a lifelong resident of Luling, LA. She is survived by her son, Derek Falgout, her siblings, Raymond Rabalais Sr. and Dolores Alexander, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Falgout, parents, Penn and Dlo Rabalais, brothers, Ronald Rabalais, Melvin ""Billy"" Rabalais, and Steven ""Steve"" Rabalais, her sister, Donna Rabalais Deroche, her son, Derrill Falgout, and grandson, Jean Paul Falgout. During Murriel's lifetime, she enjoyed gardening, playing cards, dancing, cooking, baking, shopping, and eating out. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church, in Luling, LA. Her son Derek cared for her and stayed with her until her time of death. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 155 Holy Family Ln., Luling, LA. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am - 11 am with a memorial Mass to begin at 11 am. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1279 Paul Mallard Rd., Luling, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Masses be said in her memory at Holy Family Catholic Church.
