Woman, you gave me a run for my money! I appreciate the role you played in my life even though you didn't have to. You came at me strong sometimes and I couldn't understand why. As I matured and you aged gracefully, I saw and understood why. You never came right out and said it, but when you said "Let Grandmother tell ya...", I knew to pay attention. Thank you for the lessons, thank you for the love, thank you for being my two bits change and champion. I salute you for helping to mold me into the woman I am today. I love you beyond words and my heart stills aches. Rest Well Myrt! -- Ca Lou

After Katrina she moved to the west bank across from my house. She became my best friend and I will never stop loving her . she lived with god in everything she thought and did. And she taught me to come back to jesus Christ. I loved the long summer evenings talking about her husband that had passed away at Katrina times. She would go on and on as if he was sitting next to her. She was not of this world. But of gods. God bless all of her family. And hey myrtle ,like you said, always have a bag ready in case a trip pops up and you must meet new people and places!!! Mine sits by my door. Love u
