Nancy Evelyn Gonzalez

Nancy Evelyn Houston Gonzalez, age 83, of Jefferson, Louisiana, passed away peacefully Monday, August 15, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben "Mr. Salsa" Gonzalez; her parents Kenneth Houston and Ilda Lee Weinart; her sister Jeanette Pickett (Kenneth); and her son, Ruben "Rudy" Gonzalez. Nancy is survived by three children, Randal Gonzalez, Jaime Gonzalez (Missy), and Sofia Watts (Herrir); and her sister Mary "Cookie" Weinart. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tina Gonzalez, Josh Allemond (Kim Lee), Chrystal Miller (Keith), Taylor Dison, Ross Gonzalez, Randal Gonzalez, Jr., Matthew Gonzalez, Abigail Gonzalez, Ryan Parr, and Reece Watts. She is survived by six great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 28, noon - 4 pm, at VFW Post 3267, 1133 Hickory Ave. in Harahan, LA.
