Nicholas Francis Schambra

Nicholas Francis Schambra passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the age of 93. He was a native New Orleanian and lived in Belle Chasse, Louisiana for the past 29 years. He was the loving husband of 57 years to Colleen Ruckert Schambra and the son of the late Victor and Frances Schambra. Brother of the late Josie Hemenway, Anna Adragna, Mike Adragna, Willie Adragna, Nancy Schambra Lucia and several nieces and nephews. Nicholas served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He later worked for Ford Motor Company in St. Bernard Parish for many years and retired from the City of New Orleans Health Department. Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 9 am to 11 am. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel.
