Nola Hymel St. Pé

1929 - 2022

Nola Hymel St. Pé passed away peacefully on the evening of May 24, 2022, at the age of 92. Nola was born in Destrehan, La on November 29, 1929, to the late Olidy Hymel and Elise Schexnaydre. Nola is survived by her children, Kerry St. Pé (Laura), Camille S. Howard (late David), Marvin St. Pé (Janel), Byron St. Pé (Wanda), and Ronald David St. Pé (fiancé Celeste), her sister, Betty Faucheux, ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Paul St. Pé; her son, Ronald Joseph St. Pé; her parents, Olidy Hymel and Elise Schexnaydre; and her siblings, Elma Zeringue, Virginia Eliser, Beatrice Hymel, Harold Hymel, Edward Hymel, Therese Cambre, Grace Pierson, and Norman Hymel. Nola spent her life making a loving home for her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She also had a special place in her heart for the Blessed Mother and she prayed daily. Nola was a member of the Harvey Golden Age Club for many years, and she enjoyed that special time with her friends. Nola was loved dearly by all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed. Relatives, friends, and members of the Harvey Golden Age Club, are invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Nola on Friday, May 27th, 2022, at 11:30am at St. Martha Catholic Church in Harvey, La. A graveside service will immediately follow the Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan, La. The visitation at St. Martha Catholic Church will begin at 9:30am.
