Osby Ann Louise Matirne, age 68, was born on September 22, 1953, in New Orleans, LA. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2021. She spent her career caring for others as a Registered Nurse. She retired from the State of Louisiana in 2013. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Elva Matirne. She was the mother of Anita Vincent (Reginal), Dione Baptiste-Baskerville (Tristan), Kendra Baptiste, Brad Baptiste and Jonte Jackson. Grandmother of Derrick Jones, Kevon Baptiste, Wendell Reed, Kaysha Barre, Tia Stakley, Casey Vincent, Tya Stakley, Aasiya Baptiste and Trenton Baskerville. Great-Grandmother of Zymeir and Xahari Foster. She is survived by her siblings Nelda Jones, Johnetta Matirne, Trudy Matirne and O'neal Matirne. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her siblings Alfred Tillman, Myrtle Washington, Thelma Matirne, Margie Gillard, Theodore Matirne, Earl Matirne, Jr, Donald Matirne, Tammy Matirne and Terri Matirne. She was a parishioner of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave, New Orleans, La 70125 on Saturday October 16, 2021 at 10:00 am. Visitation to begin at 9:00 am. All attendees are required to wear face masks.
