Patricia Ford Bartels

Patricia Ford Bartels departed this life on Friday, December 11, 2015, at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by Louis J. Bartels, her husband of 64 years, her parents Florence O'Nell Hedgepeth Ford Bartels, Patrick H. Ford, and step-father Henry S. Bartels. She is survived by her sister F. Marilyn Ford Granberry Osborn, her brother Henry J. Bartels, seven children - Catherine Robinson of Grosse Ile, MI, Constance Elko (David) of Austin, TX, Steven P. Bartels of Baton Rouge, Adrienne Comiskey (F. Patrick) of River Ridge, Allison McInnis (G. Michael) of Mandeville, Elaine Antoine (Stephen) of Atlanta, GA, and Carol O. Bartels of River Ridge, 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A lifelong resident of New Orleans, Mrs. Bartels was a graduate of John McDonogh Girls High School in 1943 and a parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church for the past 47 years. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at Greenwood Funeral Home located at 5200 Canal Blvd. Interment immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery.
