Patricia Thomas Obituary

CHERAW - Patricia Heptig Thomas, a resident of Cheraw, SC, passed away Tuesday, July 15 in Ormond Beach, FL. Mrs. Thomas was born in Horton, KS August 6, 1918. She was a daughter of Dr. Albert S. and Margaret Touhey Heptig. She was a graduate of St. Mary College in Leavenworth, KS. She was pre-deceased by her husband, LCDR John R. “Dick” Thomas, U.S. Navy (Ret.).

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her children: Richard Thomas, San Juan, Puerto Rico; Gerard M. (Jerry) Thomas, Ellijay, GA; Mary Pat (Bob) Whiteside, Ormond Beach, FL; and Michael T. (Kathy) Thomas, Cheraw, SC. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Caroline, Maggie, Kate, and Michael; and a sister, Margaret Carlson, Santa Monica, CA.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.

Funeral services will be held by the graveside Monday, July 21, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.

Norton Funeral Home of Cheraw is serving the family of Mrs. Thomas.

I was just looking for my fathers, John Thomas (Jack) Heptig, ancestors and noticed that Aunt Pat had passed away. None of us knew out here in California. Your loss is felt and we all wish you and your families our deepest sympathy.
