Patrick Michael Donahue Sr.

1950 - 2023

Patrick Michael Donahue Sr. passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the age of 72 surrounded by the family that he loved. He was born on February 15, 1950 in New Orleans, La. to Elwood F. Donahue and Bernadine Maylin Donahue. Pat was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and remained an active alumnus. He went on to a career as a superintendent with Ryan Walsh Stevedores. Pat was a long time member of the New Orleans Athletic Club and Bayou Barrier and Oak Harbor Golf Clubs where he spent many days enjoying a round of golf and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Hingle Donahue; his sons Patrick Michael Donahue and Joseph Donahue and grandson Gavin Lyons. He is also survived by his siblings, Jo-Ann D. Bonura (Ken), Arthur R. Donahue (Patty), Elwood F. Donahue Jr. (Mary), Shelia Ann Donahue and Maureen D. Talley (Tommy) as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by his sons, Michael Donahue and Jonathan Lyons; as well as his parents Elwood and Bernadine Donahue. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 11 am. Visitation will begin at 9 am. Following Mass, he will be laid to rest in the Donahue tomb in Metairie Cemetery.
