Patrick Joseph Kelly of Plano, Texas passed away July 19, 2022, at the age of 74. He was born on March 6, 1948, to Arthur Gerard Kelly and Elvire Valerie (LaCompte) Kelly in New Orleans, Louisiana. Patrick worked as a physician's assistant in the medical field for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War after graduating from Rabouin High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Pat made it his mission in life to bring joy to others. He always had a joke to tell, and he never allowed anyone in his presence to go hungry. Pat was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. Patrick will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him. Patrick is survived by his beloved daughters, Jamie (Kelly) Tibbitts, Shara (Kelly) Woodlee and Jennifer B. Fay; son, Bryan Broussard; grandchildren McKenzie Shameklis, granddaughter, and Oliver ("Ollie) Patrick Woodlee, grandson; great-grandson, Hunter Shameklis. Siblings are: Elizabeth (Betty) (deceased), Carol, Arthur, Suzanne, Marie, Michael, and Sheila; there are also many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and sister. A memorial mass will be held on November 4, 2022, at the Basilica of St. Stephen New Orleans at 11:30 am.
