Patsy McSpadden Obituary
Services will be Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10:00 A.M., Memorial Service at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Chaplain Bill Simpson officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Meeker.
She was born February 22, 1940 in Clovis, New Mexico to Jimmie W. & Pauline Elliott. She was a graduate of Tucumcari High School in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She was self-employed in the Indian Jewelry business. For the last 21 years she worked in Bookbinding at McSpadden Bookbindery. She was semi-retired for the last 4 years. She was married to Corry McSpadden for 28 years. She loved life and was a devoted Mother and Wife. She loved her family and friends, and had a close, personal relationship with Jesus. She will be missed greatly. Her many friendships have lasted since high school. She touched many lives. She loved all her horses and dogs. She was a member of Tucumcari Rattlers Alumni Association, a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, and in the past was active in church organizations.
Preceded in death by: She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Paschal, sister, Jane Smith and son, Curtis “Chip” Brown

Step-Son: Corry Bryan McSpadden of Pearland, TX
Step-Daughter: Marlo Ellen Tidwell of Blanket, TX
Niece: Telisa Gray of Tucumcari, NM
Grand Niece: Ruth Lujan of Tucumcari, NM

I know how empty you must feel. Gayle was a good helpmate and friend to you. Over the past several months, you have made a valient effort to make sure she has had all she needed to continue in this life, but our plans are not God's plans. Gayle was a beautiful vivacious woman. I will miss her.

Knew Patsy a short time but know she was,a strong lady and always had a smile for you even in the most difficult times....i know she will be missed! Cory you were always there for her and I am sorry for the emptiness you feel now. May God fill you up wih his comforting presence!

Corry, Gayle was a good friend and Class of '58 classmate and when you two got together it made the friendship even better. I felt fortunate to see you both a couple of times this past year and know she really struggled with all that came her way.

So sorry for your loss. We moved to Mesa AZ the same time as Gayle did and spent many hours hunting for houses, sewing, etc. Those hours were the BEST.

So sad about Gayle.I was blessed to have been able to meet her in the hospital and take care of her while she was here.She made me feel like we knew each other forever.She will be missed so much!

Dear Cory and family,
Gayle has been a part of our life since we were all children in Tucumcari. Her Mother and Step Father were friends and partners in business with our folks, during our younger years and we always enjoyed our friendship with her through the years. She was faithful in staying in touch through the years and though we didn't see each other often , we maintained the friendship. Our hearts are heavy in shared loss with her husband and family. I know she was happy in life as she was quick to share that each time we spoke. God Speed my friend.

I am so sorry to hear about Gayle. I first met her more than 60 years ago due to the fact that we shared some distant family ties. I only saw her a few times until our paths crossed again in 1956 when my family moved to Tucumcari, New Mexico. We were in the same high school graduating class. She was a very special (one-of-a-kind) individual. She made me feel more like family than a friend. I will miss her. My prayers are with all of her family members and friends.
