Pearl Marie Babin Huete

1935 - 2016

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many, Pearl died peacefully at Sunrise Senior Living in Metairie at 10:30am Wednesday, May 11, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 3, 1935, in Napoleonville, Louisiana. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles "Chip" and Rhonda Huete, Daphne AL, Kenneth "Ken" and Pam Huete, Slidell, and Darren and Vanessa Huete, River Ridge; grandchildren, Christie Witherell, Katie Huete, Gregory Huete, Paul LeBlanc, Kristen Huete, Daven Huete, Valerie Huete, and Mark Huete; three great-granchildren, Warner Witherell, Wyatt Witherell, and William Witherell; four sisters, Jane Babin, Dottie and spouse Bill Ziranski, Angela and spouse Wayne Blanchard, and Judy and spouse Donnie Bourg; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Marie Babin; her husband Charles Huete Sr.; her brother Edward Babin; a sister Kathleen Babin Clement; and a sister-in-law Mary Jane Babin. Pearl was very active at St. Anne parish in Metairie where she served as an eucharistic minister. She was a teacher's assistant at the Chinchuba School for the Deaf and a teacher's assistant at J.D. Meisler Middle School and a librarian for Jefferson Parish. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr, Metairie, La from 9:00 am -11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
