Peggy Jean Fitzmorris Blackwell

BLACKWELL Peggy Jean Fitzmorris Blackwell, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Folsom on Thursday, January 10, 2013. Peggy was married to her late husband H.D. Blackwell for 57 wonderful years. She and H.D. were blessed with 5 children, Sandra Blackwell LeBlanc (Bobby), Deborah Blackwell Varnado (David), Tim Blackwell (Rosanne), Elizabeth Blackwell Willie (Reggie) and Patricia Blackwell Foster (John). Grandmother of Jason and Bryan LeBlanc, Nicholas Varnado, Bo and Beth Blackwell, Jarrad and Jordan Willie and Jacob Foster. Great-grandmother of Abigail, Catherine, Deaton and Amelia LeBlanc, Connelly and Blaise Blackwell and Madelyn, Alyssa and Jordan Willie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Bertha Bruhl Fitzmorris and Thomas Felder Fitzmorris; her sister, Lucy Fitzmorris Tisdale; and her brothers, Marvin, Bob, Johnny, Paul and Coleman. Peggy, along with her husband, founded Blackwell's Nursery and worked side by side until they retired. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 11345 St. John Church Rd., Folsom, LA 70437 on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Sunday Evening at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and AT CHURCH ON MONDAY from 10:00 AM until Mass time. Interment will follow in Blackwell Cemetery.
