Ray Peterson Obituary

PETERSON Ray Terry Peterson, Sr., age 67, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, in Houston, Texas, formerly of New Orleans, Louisiana. Son of Doris Jackson and the late Thomas Peterson, Jr.; step son of Junious Jackson. He was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas Peterson, III, and Ronald Peterson, Sr. Terry was the father of Giselle Mays (Bruce), Dale Brooks (Stan), Terri Lynn Sampson (Felton) and Ray Terry Peterson, Jr. (Misty). He was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren. Terry is survived by his siblings, Donna Peterson Parquet, Marcia Richards, Leisa Leake (Terrance), Allen Patrick Lancelin (Janet), Glenda Peterson Dorsey (Dwayne) and a host of nieces, nephews and devoted friends. Terry was a 1963 graduate of L. B. Landry High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at JOHNSON FUNERAL HOME, 5730 Calhoun Road, Houston, Texas, on Thursday, 7- 25-13 at 11:00 AM. Interment at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.

To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord! Terry was a wonderful person who always put others first. He loved and helped others while he himself was going through struggles with his health.
