Hey grandpa it's your grandson Stephen and your great grand daughter Arianna. I'm very saddened this day had to come. When I heard the news you have passed I was devastated. I know growing up we wasn't the closest unfortunately, but that doesn't mean I didn't love you I didn't know who you were. Especially the time you pulled up on me when I was 7 years old at my grandmother's house in Avondale. I remember you promised me a dog but unfortunately I didn't see you again until I was 24. I was sad when you didn't show up the next day with the dog but I knew I would see you again at some point. I think my father Vernon for being a great dad to me and making sure I build a relationship with my grandfather and know who You are. So when I turn 24 I bought my family down to New Orleans to visit you when my daughter was 6 months old. That was a beautiful scenery showing you my firstborn child and building that bond together. Then recently as of last year I came to visit you again with my daughter now 6 years old and that was a great time because I spent all day with you and my uncle. it just sucks that this had to happen now because I had everything intention on paying you a visit over the recent Thanksgiving holidays but we can never question God's work and I know you fulfilled your purpose why you was here and I appreciate the relationship we did have and I know you love me papa. So to end this off I love you grandpa may your soul rest peacefully in heaven. I asked you be my angel in life and cover and protect me from wickedness and evil. Come pay me a visit from time to time and give me words of encouragement give me strength that I can achieve anything I put my mind to because I know that's what you would want from me. So until we meet again Grandpa I will truly miss you let your soul rest peacefully now
