Renaud "Nookie" Cockrham Sr.

COCKRHAM Renaud "Nookie" Cockrham, Sr. died Thursday December 29, 2011 at the age of 60. He was born in New Orleans, LA and resided there for the remainder of his life. Mr. Cockrham was a retired city employee, a valet attendant at the Monteleone Hotel and a graduate of Coastal Truck Driving School where he received his CDL License. Survivors include: his companion, Frances Cain, two daughters: Gwendolyn and Tyrielle Cockrham, one son, Renaud Cockrham Jr., a grandson, Keir Pitts Jr., a brother, Edward Cockrham and an Aunt, Ruth Lewis of Houma, LA. And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive him. Relatives, family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Friday January 6, 2012 at Charbonnet-Labat-Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip St. NOLA from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A funeral will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 2424 Grand Calliou Rd. (Highway 57) in Houma, LA for 11:00 am. Visitation begins at 10:00 am in the church.
