Harmon and I became friends in undergraduate school when we had several classes together. He spent more time playing keyboard with Ivy Peebles Medicine Show than going to class, however. At the end of the semester he would suggest we study our notes together. I would tell him that was fine with me, but he didn't have any notes. "Well, we can study yours and it will help both of us.", he would say. He always did better than I did on the exams. He was truly a unique character which made him a great friend, a compassionate individual, and a great jurist. An era has come to an end. My condolences to Jean and the family.

My deepest condolences to the Drew family for the loss of a true legend. He made a life long impact on generations of Kappa Sigma's and their families. My journey with Kappa Sigma was beginning as his active status was winding down and his legal education was beginning. He still found time to leave a lasting impact and a legacy of leadership throughout his time at LSU, as well as his legal career. Harmon Drew was the epitome of brotherhood, and a shining example of what a Kappa Sigma gentleman is all about.
My prayer is that family, friends, and brothers of Harmon Drew will think of him often: and miss him always.
May he rest in peace.

I met Judge Drew back in 1992 when I started my law enforcement career. I looked forward each year to his seminars on the changing laws. He impacted a lot of LEO's and I am honored to have known him.

Harmon was the president of Kappa Sigma during the freshman year of our pledge class in 67. He was held in very high regard by all of our pledge class. He was the living example of what the brotherhood was meant to be. He will be deeply missed by all.

Harmon and I first met in the early 50´s playing football in his Aunt´s yard in Baton Rouge across the street from my family home. Our friendship lasted a lifetime. Our AEKDB bond from Kappa Sigma days with all the joy and fun his band delivered are memories I shall never forget. And, our professional lives continued to cross with his True Blue teachings which always helped those of us who represent sheriffs and their deputies. Truely the world is a better place for his contributions and presence. My love to Jean and the family.

Judge Drew was a True Friend to ALL!!!! He basically adopted you and your family when you became his friend. He was slow to judge and quick to encourage. Judge Drew NEVER failed to give his best advice to anyone who requested his scholarly opinion and his view of their pressing issue. He will surely be missed by all but never replaced. He and Mrs. Jean spread smiles, joy, laughter, knowledge and love wherever they journeyed or lectured together. His self deprecating style of humor is almost a lost art. Judge Drew always looked friends in the eye and hugged them goodbye as they parted. RIP my friend. Love to the family, Sincerely, Judge H. Stephens Winters, West Monroe, LA

Harmon and I graduated from lsu with the same degree in 1968, again in law school in `71, but more importantly spend 3 months together in´72 at the armor school at Fort Knox where we spent a lot of time together. Imagine my surprise to learn 2 years ago that our granddaughters and daughters are best friends . I was fortunate to share notes with him and his brown eyed Larry
