Richard Louis Miguez, Sr., age 86, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Hammond, LA. He was born on May 12, 1937 to the late Noah Luke and Eunice Martin Miguez in New Orleans, LA. Richard is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Glenda Miguez; sister, Juanita Naquin; sons, Richard Miguez, Jr. (Maria), Darren Miguez (Cindy) and Bryan Miguez (June); daughters, Stacey Bennett and Kim Brown; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Noah Luke and Eunice Martin Miguez; son, Stephen Miguez; siblings, Stanley Miguez, Dolores Pritchett, Carlos Miguez, Alvin Miguez, Harold Miguez, Newton Miguez, Thomas Miguez and Jewell Condy; and the mother of his children, Mildred Bennett. Relatives and friends of Richard are invited to attend the Visitation on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 12:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in Lakelawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
