Richard Stineman Obituary


Richard L. Stineman, age 81, of Homer City, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana.


He was born in 1936 in Ernest to LeRoy and Luella Mahaffey Stineman.


Mr. Stineman was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Indiana, the Red Barn Sportsman Club, and the UMWA, Local #1412.


He was employed as a welder for Syntron, (FMC) in Homer City, and then as an electrician for Helen Mine until his retirement in 1993.


Dick was an avid fisherman and hunter.


He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Lou Palmer Stineman, Homer City; two sons and two daughters, R. Edward Cutting, Indianapolis, IN; Vicki Ann Robbins, Indiana; Karen Sue Stineman, Homer City; Richard A. Stineman and wife Lori, Coral; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; his brother Milton Stineman and wife Marie, South Bend; and numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and five sisters, Lyle Mahaffey, Jr., Robert E. Mahaffey, Sr., Seth Mahaffey, Thomas J. Mahaffey, Cora L. Spiers, Luella Stineman, Mildred Lytle, Myrtle Wise, and Margaret “Peggy” Lloyd


A private family service will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery Chapel at a later date, where inurnment will be made in the Cemetery Columbarium. The Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
