Rickey Hamilton was born December 13, 2006 in New Orleans, LA, to Richonda Hamilton and Junior Johnson Sr. He was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Rickey was a student at Edna Karr High School, where he was a member of the Color Guard. He loved to sew and owned his business "Bluski The Tailor". Rickey is survived by his parents, Richonda Hamilton and Junior Johnson Sr., brother, Junior Johnson Jr., sister, Ria Johnson, his grandparents, Janice and Richard Hamilton Sr., and Javarnna and Dwayne Carter, and a host of other relatives and friends. He leaves to cherish his memories his dog Kingston that he loved and cared for. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Junior Perkins Jr., great-grandparents, Ruby and Junior Perkins Sr., Harriet Johnson and Joseph West. Relatives and friends of the family, faculty and students of Edna Karr High School, Success at Thurgood Marshall, and members of the Crescent Boxing Gym are invited to attend the Funeral Service. Services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, 10 a.m. at Saint James Methodist Church, 1925 Ursuline Street, New Orleans, LA 70116. Pastor Walter Parker, Officiating. Visitation 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment Providence Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. Arrangements entrusted to Professional Funeral Services, 1449 N.
