Rita C. Howard

Rita C. Howard departed this life on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 11:25pm. She was 86 years old and a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Rita was the wife of the late Hyford L. Howard, Sr. and the daughter of the late Hattie Brooks and William "Willie" Collins. She was preceded in death by her children, Darryl Howard, Bryan E. Howard, Ronald Howard, Sr. and Donald E. Howard and grandson, Orlando Howard. Rita is the beloved mother and survived by her children, Pamela Howard Partman (Cecil), Hyford L. Howard, Jr. (Audrea), Gary Howard, Sr.(Karen), Cathy Howard, Kevin Howard, Sr., Carl and Dale W. Howard as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors and officers of Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church, Little Mount Zion Baptist Church, Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Pilgrim Baptist Church and Franklin Avenue Baptist Church are invited to attend a Funeral Service of Christian Burial at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 2515 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 10:00 am.
