Robert Sims Obituary

Robert "Bobby" Steven Sims, 44, passed away on July 31, 2016. He was born on March 27, 1972 in Millington, TN. Preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Hampton Sims. He leaves behind his wife, Michelle Lynn Guidry and his two children, Austin Nicholas Sims, 17, and Sydnie Leigh Sims, 6. Bobby also leaves behind his brother, John Jason Sims; grandmother, Fran Cooper; aunt, Tammy Currie; uncle, Charles " Bubba" Hampton; in-laws, James and June Guidry; brother-in-law, James Allen Guidry Jr and family along with many cousins and friends. Bobby worked as a carpenter for Custom Cabinet Specialties. He was loved by everyone that met him. He loved watching the Saints, fishing, camping and bbq'ing. He had a contagious smile and a true love of life. He truly was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70001 on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 4:00 pm. A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until service time. Online condolences may be offered at www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
