BOBBY WAS MY DAD'S FIRST COUSIN AND BEST FRIEND....HE ALSO WAS MY SISTER'S GODFATHER. THAT SHOULD TELL YOU WHAT WE THOUGHT OF HIM FROM DAY ONE! WE CALLED HIM UNCLE BOBBY! SOME OF MY FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MEMORIES WERE AT HIS HOUSE IN N.O.
HE WAS THE KIND OF PERSON WHO JUST MADE YOU FEEL AT HOME WHEN YOU WERE AROUND HIM. I'LL NEVER FORGET THE TIME HE LET US STAY AT HIS HOUSE IN PENSACOLA WITH ALL OF OUR KIDS.....AND THE THOUGHT THEY WERE RIDING THERE LITTLE CARS RIGHT NEXT TO THE NEWCOMB POTTERY! HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!
HE SAT NEXT TO ME IN THE CHURCH AND AT THE RECEPTION AT MY NIECE'S WEDDING IN JULY.... :) THAT WAS THE LAST TIME I SAW HIM......WE LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU DEARLY........LORELEI , MICHAEL AND ANDRE"

I know I will get to see Uncle Bobby again, so that is why I can at least be a little strong. He was one of my favorite people in the whole wide world. and he was my God Father! What an honor. I am missing you terribly. See you, Maja

I worked with Bob first at Pan American Petroleum in New Orleans back in the '60's, and later at Valero Producing Co. He was the kindest and most honorable man I have ever known. One day as I was riding with Bob in his automobile I happened to look into the back seat. There on the floor was a can opener and a few cans of Mighty Dog. When I asked about it he said they were in case he came across a stray dog that looked hungry. Whenever I think of Bob I think of this.

Bob was first my boss and then a endearing friend. His expertise in the oil industry was only surpassed by his kind, gentle nature, a kindrid spirit with his sense of humor, and a big heart. I am fortunate to have know him, and will miss him dearly.

Bobby was a special gentle soul and will be sorely missed. He had a love of animals, plants and nature that was remarkable. He was very kind to my sister Eileen, his daughter in law and to all her family. He shall be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him.

We were Bob's next door neighbors from 1994 to 2006. No one could ask for a better neighbor or friend, that is why we agreed to put a gate in the fence between our houses. He would pet-sit for us when we took vacations, let our granddaughter play with Marty and loved feeding the wild animals that came into our yards. Bob, you will be missed and you'll always be in our hearts.

It was my privilege to work with Bobby at CNG Producing Co. in New Orleans in the mid-1970’s. He was a generally quiet, very competent, somewhat mischievous person from whom all of the younger staff learned a great deal. Unfortunately, none of us ever matched his grace and talents. We are better for his being here, and poorer for his passing.

The Swords Family: Bobby was in my parents' wedding (Tommy and Adele Mullen). Knowing Bobby's gentle humor is one of my first memories. My prayers are with you all.
God Bless.

Our deepest sympaties are with Bob's family. We will miss him greatly. Bob was a good friend and a big help to my mom over the years. It was a pleasure to have been around him. Family gatherings won't be the same without him but the world is a better place for Bob having been here.
