CORNWALL Roger Dale Cornwall, age 66, died on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at 1:43 AM in Breaux Bridge, LA. Beloved husband of Joycelyn Marie Melerine Cornwall for 48 years. Father of Rhonda Cornwall (Steve Thompson), Heidi Guerra (Bruce, Jr.), and Dana Arcement (Larry). Son of the late Alice Evans and Woodrow (Woody) Cornwall. Brother of Cynthia Fredericks, Alice Ann Byrd, Robert (Bobby) Cornwall, Michael (Mike) Cornwall and the late Melanie Toups, Ronald (Ronnie) Cornwall and Woodrow (Danny) Cornwall. Survived by five grandchildren (Candace Alfaro, Bruce Guerra, III, Jared Guerra, Blake Arcement, and the late Sheldon Melerine), five great grandchildren, and many dear friends. Mr. Cornwall was a longtime resident of St. Bernard, LA and a resident of Breaux Bridge, LA since Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Cornwall was a retired U.S.C.G. licensed captain, a commercial fisherman, and also a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers (I.U.O.E.), Local 406, New Orleans, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue Street, Chalmette, LA, on Friday morning, January 8, 2010 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 1st Baptist Church of Chalmette, 305 E. St. Bernard Hwy, Chalmette, LA.
