Roland A. Mullins Sr.

MULLINS Roland A. Mullins, Sr. passed away at his home on Friday, June 28, 2013. He was born on March 12, 1943 in Klotzville, Louisiana. He will forever be remembered as a loving and loyal father, grandfather, brother, and a friend of many. "Papa Gray" enjoyed life to the fullest, especially socializing with friends, but treasured his family above all else. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isadore J. Mullin and Mildred Sheffield Mullin. He is preceded in death by his brother, Isadore J. Mullin, Jr. and his sister, Diana Mullin Villavaso. He is survived by his brother, Bruce L Mullin, his son, Roland Anthony Mullin, Jr.; granddaughters, Janina, Jessica, grandson Roland, III and a host of nieces and nephews. Roland attended Xavier University Preparatory School and graduated from St. Augustine High School. He attended Southern University in New Orleans. Roland retired from ILC/Shell Oil Company after 28 years of service in 2000. Relatives and friends, especially those at Ponson's Place and with ILC/Shell Oil Company are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Rhodes Chapel, 1020 Virgil Street, Gretna, LA, on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., until the time of service. Interment will be private. The family would like to thank everyone for their loving prayers, thoughts and support.
