Romaine Carl "Windy" Dahl

1933 - 2021

Romaine Carl "Windy" Dahl passed away peacefully on October 2, 2021, at the age of 88. A native of Mellon, Wisconsin, Windy was a resident of Plaquemines Parish for the last 50 years. Windy is preceded in death by his wife Beverly Cure Dahl, his son Robert Raymond Dahl, his brother, Clayton Dahl, and his parents Carl and Leila Dahl. He is survived by four children, Donnie Dahl (Catherine), Chris Dahl (Evelyn), Deborah Rhodes (David, deceased), and Justin Dahl along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Windy, a veteran of the United States Air Force, met his wife, Beverly while on leave in New Orleans. They married and raised 5 children. Windy supported his family as an air conditioning serviceman. He loved fishing, hunting, the Saints, LSU, and Leinenkugel Beer. Most of all, he loved his family. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Riverbend Nursing and Rehab and Harmony Hospice for their kind and loving care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, October 18, 2021, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
