Ronald (Ron) K. Mehrtens, Sr. at his residence in Metairie, LA on Sunday, January 18, 2004 at 10:13 AM. Beloved husband of Joan O'Conner Mehrtens. Father of Ronald K. Mehrtens, Jr., Debra A. Mehrtens, Steven J. Mehrtens and the late Gary A. Mehrtens. Grandfather of Ronald K. Mehrtens III, Edward W. Mehrtens and Steven A. Mehrtens. Brother of the late Alvin J. Mehrtens, Sr. and Edward J. Mehrtens, Jr. Son of the late Mary Kay Mehrtens and Edward J. Mehrtens. Age 71 years. A native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Metairie, LA for the past 17 years. A private Funeral Mass was held in the Metairie Chapel of LAMANA-PANNO-FALLO, 1717 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at 11:00 AM followed by interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO EXPRESSED CONDOLENCES AT THE PASSING OF MY FATHER. HE WAS A LOVED MAN, SINCERE, THOUGHFUL PERSON. AND VERY GIVING. I OWE NOT ONLY MY LIFE TO HIM, BY EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT LIFE. HE WILL BE MISSED. THANKS TO UNCLE BIFF FOR YOUR EXPRESSION OF LOVE FOR YOUR BROTHER.
